our Amigos

Book Club Gals
Lourdes, Gabby, Jamie, Cindy, Julie, Afton and me- the large melon on the end :)
We had a delicious book club a couple of weeks ago at Afton's house and I just have to say that I love these gals! We read The Help (well, most of us read it :) and I thoroughly enjoyed it and appreciate the perspectives it gave me on being a mom and being aware of how I treat others.
We also celebrated Cindy's b-day with this amazing guitar cake made by Cake Boss Julie-- nice work!
Last Wednesday (St. Patty's Day) the activity girls in our ward made dinner for our family and were so excited to surprise us with it that night. They were so cute and thought I might not feel like cooking (which is often true these days) and I was very touched that they thought of us.
Last Sunday after Stake Conference we played at the Guymon's house and I just had to snap a shot of these darling kids lookin' all Springy! We had delicious taco soup and cornbread and then while the kids played Jim, Rachel and I had a roarin' game of Ticket to Ride-- which I thought I wouldn't really enjoy, but actually had a great time playing :) Thanks Guys!
Last Tuesday we went to our Indian neighbor's Ashtmi Celebration and had a great time learning about their culture and food- we loved the poori (bread) and spicy dishes the best!
Zanna and I both got Bindi's on our foreheads and she wants to go buy some more :)

I heart February...

This February FLEW by and I think that is why I loved it :)

Here are some of the reasons I thought Feb. was a great month...

We got to eat many heart-shaped Sugar Cookies with pink frosting and not feel guilty

We got to see our cute friends on the Monday Holiday at the Long Island Children's Museum and although it was a madhouse of kids, we had a great time!
i didn't get pulled over...
biker chicks
I had a get-a-way weekend to Colorado to meet this little guy, Anthony Lane Archer, and had such a nice, relaxing time hanging out with Heather and Ben. We took a couple of great snowy walks, watched the Olympics, ate delicious food and cookies, and I got hold this little guy to my hearts content :) Dave was super-dad with the kids for the weekend and they had a great time eating at the Chinese Buffet, movie night and going home teaching. I even got to finish my book, The Help, on the plane and just had a great weekend...thank you Dave and my great friends that helped me out and making it happen!

We had a proud parent moment...Zanna's artwork, the four season trees, was chosen to hang in the administration building this month and we took a little family outing to see it

she was so excited to see her name up there and it was neat to see how much a little thing like this meant to her...i love my girl

We also had TWO visits from the TOOTH FAIRY this month!
James had a tooth extracted and a spacer put in...not so fun
and Zanna lost her first tooth...well, Dave actually pulled it out but she wanted him to and didn't even feel a thing
It was the talk of the week!
I had to go to a relief society thing and this it what I found when I came home...Dad's version of bedtime- stories on the bed and falling asleep with the lights on...cute.
and we hit the 30 week mark--woo hoo!
and yes, I am wearing those same white, comfy pants!

I feel good-- still going to gym and getting lots of funny looks, can't breathe at times, love naps more than bedtime, hate putting on my shoes, getting kicked in the ribs and so excited to see if this is a boy or a girl-- what do you think??
