I know many of you are SICK of the snow, but when we heard a storm was coming we were actually really excited 'cause we hadn't even played in any white stuff yet!! We missed the big storm out here over Christmas and when we were in UT it didn't snow at all...so yesterday we had an almost perfect snow day.
First of all, Dave was HOME!
We all slept in and had pancakes and fruit for breakfast while the snow piled high
We played a serious game of BINGO and then built a fort, watched Ratatouille and I had a nice little nap
We then took to the snow and went sledding on the hill behind our building
and made a snowperson with a good old-fashioned carrot nose :)
Hot Chocolate was a must...
with rainbow marshmallows
and we even made a little snow ice cream (Dave added strawberries and it was pretty tasty)
The only reason it wasn't "the perfect snow day" is because Dave ended up getting called into work and had to work the overnight shift for someone that "couldn't" make it in from the city because of the snow (we think he really could have made it!)
It was great day together though and made me remember that I really do like the snow (just in moderation :)
