Dave has been home a lot this month and it has been WONDERFUL!! This is the reason for my lack of blogging and having your husband home and not stressed out is the best reason to not be on the computer. We had a fun date last weekend in the city because my cousin Jessica is amazingly nice and asked to take the kids for the night. We met at her work and did the "kid trade" and we took off to Little Italy for the night. A few minutes later she called and said she was taking them to "The Little Mermaid" on Broadway and asked if that would be okay to have them longer than planned!! I tried to protest to such a huge splurge, but she insisted and we gave in:) We had a couple of extra hours and enjoyed dinner at Sal's- pizza and the best Penne vodka w/grilled chicken and then even though we were stuffed we headed over to "Rice to Riches"- the coolest and only rice pudding only shop we've ever been to. It has about 20+ flavors of rice pudding and is very entertaining and definitely a hot spot on a Friday night. After sampling about 12 flavors we finally chose "pecan pie" and "cinnamon raisin" - i perferred the pecan pie but it was all delish! After being apart for the month of August it was so nice to just be together and run around the city. Before meeting the kids, we saw this Scientology Building and we decided to go in and learn a little about it while we were waiting. The first girl was really nice, but then we got a girl that could only say "read the book, read the book, read the book!" She didn't answer any of our questions and just said we need to find out for ourselves and "read the book"- pretty annoying... So, we met the kids at the theater and James had fallen asleep for the last 20 min. of the show but they both LOVED it and have been singing the songs- notice Zanna's words to "Part of Your World" on the list of her quotes. I have a love/hate feeling toward NYC, but this night was a definite giant HEART!

so Zanna's got bullets! I guess you do live in NYC. Isn't it so good when you have your man back? Sounds like you had a great night. Good for you!
what a fun post! I'm so thrilled to hear about you and Dave and doing so many fun things! and what a great cousin! Love ya!
Have you been to Pudding on the Rice in Provo? I never have, but have heard good things about it.
P.S., I am still laughing about all the quotes from Zanna and James on your sidebar. I hadn't checked it in a while. Man that is some good material!!
Fancy blog! I want to have a babysitting cousin that takes my kids to shows while I enjoy eating rice pudding. LOVED the rice pudding signage.
Abby would be so jealous-- we have that Broadway soundtrack and she loves it! And I want to go to an all rice pudding place! Gotta love NYC for having stuff like that. You all look fab!
